Silk ribbon stoles were first created by a weaver at a home spun studio in Iwate. They are made by dyeing silk ribbons, ironing them, winding them into balls, and hand-weaving them as the warp and weft yarns without the use of threads. All stages of the production process, from dyeing to weaving, are done by hand with great care. This enables the multiple hues of the ribbons and their smooth, silken texture to be highlighted in a pleasing manner. They look even more vibrant and appealing when worn. The studio also made a line of original stoles for designer Issey Miyake

岩手県のホームスパン工房の職人が生み出した新しい形の絹織物です。絹のリボンを段染めし、アイロンで伸ばしたものを巻き取って経糸・緯糸として、糸を使わずに手織りにしたものです。染めも織りも全て丁寧な手作業で作られています。段染めの色の重なりとシルクの感触がとても心地が良い熟練された織りの技です。シルクリボンのストールは、身にまとうことで息を吹き込まれた様ないきいきとした魅力を放ちます。かつてデザイナーの三宅一生氏の作品（オリジナルカラー）にも取り上げられています。
